THE DEAL IS A NEW, MONTHLY SECTION of The Nicola Midnight St.Claire in which editors select an artist, discuss their practice, and offer a few works for sale.
We want to support special artists, their projects, and help get more art, into the homes of more people. We're like your favorite record store that tapes handwritten album reviews to each record giving you an introduction to new work, a context for what you're buying--beyond genre--and the confidence that the careful purchase was worth your money.
We're not just saying; "Hey, if you like Black Sabbath check out Pantera," we're also saying, "buy records, they're better THAN MP3's." With The Deal, we present to you and your eyes a break from the computer screen: an opportunity to recognize a physical object sharing your physical space and we emphasize the absolutely necessary transaction between artist and viewer, maker and patron.
